Toney Mountain in east-central Marie Byrd Land is a 50-km-long volcanic massif with a 3-km-wide summit caldera and several satellitic cinder cones. Several small cinder cones occur along the crest of the massif, which is almost entirely covered by glaciers. A felsic sample from the summit area gave a Potassium-Argon date of 500,000 years.
