The Balintang Islands are a group of seven small rocky islands in the middle of the Balintang Channel north of Luzon. The largest island is about 1,600 m long by 500 m wide, and reaches over 100 m above sea level. They are the summit of a large submarine edifice slightly smaller than the volcanic edifice under Babuyan Claro, 50 km SSW.
