Back-arc island volcano W of the main Sangihe volcanic front, km W of Karangetang. The island is a 1.5-km-diameter caldera, breached to the SW, but with a 500-m-diameter post-caldera dome on the SW side of the caldera and a crater lake in the NE. The submarine edifice appears to be ~20 km in diameter. Identified as Quaternary by Hanyu et al. (2012).
