The Hummock (1.1-0.9 million years ago) (Ma), Berrembea, and Barambah (0.6 Ma) basalts from the Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Gayndah areas, respectively, are of Pleistocene age. The northern Boyne area has also had Pleistocene volcanism (Robertson, Sutherland, and Hollis, in Johnson et al., 1989).
